I am a coxswain for a rowing team, and I am going to be a Junior this year. I am a pretty good coxswain with first boat, and i am well under weight. What are some good schools with rowing teams? And what are the chances of getting a rowing scholarship?

  1. To totally contradict what this person said.....

I am a coxswain, and I am getting recruited by a lot of schools, but mainly schools on the west coast.

The west coast schools are getting stronger, and are just as competitive as the east coast schools.

One school to look at for rowing for guy coxswains is the University of Washington.

A school that women coxswains should look at on the west coast is Stanford.

For light weight coxswains, the university of wisconsin and MIT is another good school....even though they are not on the west coast.

A lot of west coast schools are on the rise.
