Where should a family live in the Seattle area if they are very involved in youth hockey?

We have (2) kids that play hockey in Minnesota, but we are possibly moving to Seattle. One girl, U10 and One boy, first year Bantam.

We would like to find a suburb that would be close by to an arena that offers a good youth hockey association.

  1. Forget Seattle move to Canada way better hockey and way cheaper as well.

  2. Canada ;)

  3. There are very few ice arenas in the Seattle area

Two far out in the suburbs: Everett and Bremerton

And two arenas closer in: Kent Valley Ice center (6015 S 240th St, Kent, WA 98032) and Castle ice in Renton (12620 164th Ave Se, Renton, WA 98059)

I would suggest the near south suburbs of Renton, Maple Valley or Kent. They are nice places to live, good schools and "relatively" affordable (for Seattle standards - homes are only 500K)
