  1. Yes, but perhaps you'll need to pay extremely high bills and rent, it' s not convenient for you to live in a populated or expensive area, better commute by the London Underground ...

  2. You can try One SE8 at Deptford Bridge .....its a huge apartment complex with 8-10 building in its gated premise...tastefully done by St James apartment with 2 mins walk to DLR station (Zone 2 so cheap travel) that takes abt 12 mins to Canary Wharf and 20 mins to Bank. A train from Greenwich (2 mins by train) will take u to London Bridge in 8 mins and Charing X in 17 mins.

A Tesco is 4-5 mins away by train and ASDA 7-8 mins.

The premise has onsite cafe, its own store, gym and swimming pool for resident usage. Its a very safe area and borders Greenwich and Blackheath. The crowd is really young because of its affordablity.

The damage wud be in the range of £825-850 for 1 bed apartment or £700 for Studio. Try righmove.co.uk to get listed properties....i managed to negotiate only £25 off/month on my rentals and pay £825 for one bedroom  Cheerio

PS You can visit the website that has got a video of the location as well.... http://www.onese8.co.uk/
