Where should an english speaker eat in Quebec City?

I'm traveling with someone that knows a few french phrases but really, we just want to not get dirty looks and want to be able to have a quick meal without any trouble, while only speaking English. We've got a car so anywhere in the general downtown area would be great. Thanks for any restaurant names/suggestions, much appreciated!

Oh, don't worry!  People in Quebec city love tourists.  You won't get any dirty looks for only speaking english. The only thing that might bother you is the waiters speaking bad english, but that's it.

hey fellah . if you see a restaurant with english name . that means it is an english restaurant rihgt.any way english is an enternational language so you can try any restaurant in quebec and pretty sure you can order your food by just pointing to the waiter the food you wanna eat.Enjoy!

Anywhere downtown or in the Old Town, you have zero chances of getting "dirty looks" for not speaking French. Besides if your friend already knows a few phrases, use them and that will already get you very far, we always appreciate the effort even if you can't speak it.

We get throngs and tons of tourists each year, people are used to having to speak English, so do not worry AT ALL.
