At home in the USA or at the Brussels Midi rail station? I will be travelling on 8 Oct, and the current price in US dollars is $123 (for one adult and one youth ticket oneway). Would it be cheaper if i waited and purchased the ticket in Europe, as opposed to here in the USA?

  1. I would expect the price to be about the same, no matter what, but if you want to have the reservation made, and not have to stand in line, you just buy it online, then deal with the shorter lines of picking up the ticket itself, at the train station.

  2. at the train station or now

    there will be no difference

  3. From Brussels to Amsterdam you can use the Thalys-train, with an own tariff-system, taking 2:44 hrs, or the regular Intercity-Train (IC) departing hourly at the minute of 15, taking 3:00 hrs.

I just checked the website of the Belgium Railway Company.

Regular fare for an adult is 34,80 €, for a juvenile 22,60 €, so on actual exchange rates about $ 92.

The site has an english version.

    You can book tickets online.
