  1. You should never import something like soil, it could introduce harmful fungi, bacteria, or insects that could just take over and decimate native plants and crops.  Story time: When my hubby and I went to Australia, we took golf clubs, and the clubs and golf shoes had to be taken in a back room and washed off in the customs area of the airport in Australia, because they were very strict about getting foreign soil into their country, they have lots of crops and beautiful plants and animals they need to protect.

  2. It is not legal to ship dirt from other country's. The dirt could contain bug eggs, fungus and other things that could cause a lot of issues for trees and/or crops in this country.

  3. Buying soil from other countries only invites exotics to come into this country.  India is one place I would never get anything from as that country pollutes its own country with heavy pesticides and dumps them near poor neighborhoods.

Always get your soil from a local source.
