  1. Devon on Rittenhouse Square for seafood and steaks. Don Pablo's at the Christiana Mall for Mexican. Houlihan's on City Line Ave near 76. Ralph's (9th Street?) in South Philly for Italian. Charlie Brown's Steakhouse in Springfield, Delco. Kildare's near the King of Prussia Mall for Irish. Hibachi in Marple for Japanese (the kind where they cook at your table), Peking at Granite run Mall for Chinese, Longhorn Steakhouse on the boulevard or Delaware Avenue....

    Congratulations.

  2. Try The Mexican Post on Front Street.

They have the BEST guacamole I ever ate. All the food is ALWAYS good. Very casual, small-party atmosphere.

Of course, if you want to drive, you can come to where I work:

  3. Please don't do any restaurant that doesn't offer coupons,  advertises via commercials or a Stephen Starr restaurant. It's your gradution, it should be a special event. These places can make it so.

I recommend anything by Vetri or his graduates:

    Vetri

    Osteria

    JAMES

    Xochitl (pronounced so-cheet)

    Zahav

    Marigold

    Blackfish

    or maybe:

    Amada

    Tinto

    Cuba Libre

    Lacroix at the Rittenhouse

    Ansill

    Supper

    Fork

    Rae

    Ava

    XIX (called Nineteen)

    Sonam

    Susanna Foo

    Brasserie Perrier

    Twenty Manning

    Estia

you can compare most of these places online at opentable(dot)com and even make your reservation.

  4. Red Lobster

  5. The Cheesecake Factory is actually okay. I went there right after my college graduation and I got a free dessert because I was the graduate. It's a great reasonable place for big groups. And of course, the cheesecake is fantastic.

  6. When I graduated from college I went out to dinner for French food. It was amazing. I live in the Dallas area, so I don't know what restaurants are available, but since you are all dressed up, you might as well go to an amazing five star place. :-) I would suggest something French or Italian. Both of those genre's of restaurants will also have a pretty descent wine selection (I was unsure if you are a high school or college student asking this) and a good glass of wine is usually fun for a graduation celebration.

  7. If your into Italian, I would nix the olive garden and check out Maggiano's at 12th and lombard. There is also one in king of prussia if you are more toward the main line. They have fantastic food and also do family style for a large group. The atmosphere is awesome and will be perfect for a post graduation meal.

    Congratulaions by the way.

  8. i personally went to a Mexican restaurant when I graduated, It was a lot of fun, there were a few of us that agreed on a restaurant together!

    Good Luck
