Where should i go on vacation? out west toward South Dakota or to the FLordia Keys?

I have the option of going out west as far as South Dakota or going down to the Flordia keys. i don't know which one is better.

Ok, I've been both places and love both places.  But they are entirely different types of vacations.  Not knowing your specific areas of interest makes giving proper advice difficult, as well as not knowing when you are planning to go.  But, here goes.  The Keys are great, I have been to Key West 7 times and just booked my 8th trip for later this year.  The entire Keys experience is about relaxing and doing very little, perhaps some sport fishing, or sport drinking, but that's pretty much it.  There is a lot of history in the Keys and most of it is very interesting.  Very tropical all year round and always a party.  Now for South Dakota.  I was there last June, flew to Rapid City and drove around South Dakota and across Wyoming to Yellowstone, the Tetons and finally into Jackson.  In the summer, Jackson Wyoming is awesome.  It actually reminded me a bit of Key West, the types of people that live out there in the summer, raft guides, mountain bikers, just a great place.  Lots of active excursions, great food and just a chill place to be.  Don't know if it helps but I'll be glad to give you more info if you'd like.

Well, it depends on your interests, Fl Keys are a paradise

South Dakota is more history

It depends on what you want from a vacation.  South Dakota has gorgeous mountains, cooler weather, lakes and hiking.  Florida Keys have warmer weather, water sports, laid back atmosphere, and no mountains at all.
