I am going out for dinner with my family for my birthday on Monday night. There will be a group of ten and I want moderate prices. Preferably somewhere near Milton, Paddington or Red Hill? Any suggestions?

  1. Try a few online dining directories, you'll be able to see restaurants with the best reviews. Because you have a specific place in Brisbane in mind you'll also be able to search for all the ones in the area and see what you like

  2. As you didn't give us any idea as to your age, it's hard to know what to suggest.

If you're not old enough to drink,

Toowong Sizzler is great but basic,

Hogs Breath at Indooroopilly would be great too.

Coffee Club Eagle St Pier could be an idea!

    If you're of drinking age,

Pier Nine at Eagle St Pier is great.

Il Centro, at the same locale, is awesome but, pricing can get up there a little.

Venice Cafe and Wine Bar, along the river near the Customs House,  is brilliant and has fantastic ambiance!

I know that the Eagle St precinct is some distance away but do the City Cat for a bit of fun and get off at Riverside!

Southbank then becomes an option too.  It could be fun to do a twilight BBQ at Southbank!  If the BBQ idea is appealing, Roma St Parklands.

Lakeside Cafe at the Toowong Botanical Gardens is another option.

  3. If you have a look at this website, it lists "favourite restaurants" in the areas you mention and also gives price guides and whether or not they're open Mondays, and if they'll accept group bookings. I love Harem and Salt.
