Where should i learn to Kayak in France?

Question

Id like to go to the French Alps (or somewhere just as nice) and learn to Kayak. Id like to go on a multiday trip but am looking for something cheap and focused on twentysomething people. Id have about £500 in total but that would be the absolute max and would be spent travelling for a short time after too. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks

Why not learn to Kayak close to home... That way when you travel to France, you already know how to kayak...
