  1. It is generally not recommended to release pets, including fish into the wild.  It creates all kinds of environmental problems.  You should consider donating the fish to a classroom, nursing home, or office. My husband works in a nursing home and the residents and staff love the fish tank there, they take turns feeding them and the family members appreciate it as well. Sometimes pet stores will also take the fish and resell them for you.

Releasing fish into the wild can be dangerous for the fish, and if they do survive they can begin breeding and disrupt the natural ecosystem (very bad for the environment).  Check out this website for more info.

  2. Give them away to someone try www.craigslist.com

  3. DO NOT RELEASE CAPTIVE BRED FISH INTO THE WILD THEY WILL DIE EVENTUALLY.

Find someone to give them to or turn them over to a pet store, at least they will have a chance of survival then.

In most places it is actually illegal to release anything like that into the wild as it might mess up the ecosystem.

DO NOT. I repeat. DO NOT release them into the wild.

They have been your fish for all this time, just because you have to change your tank they have to die??? Give them to a petstore! Give them to a friend! Put an ad on Craig's List, FREE FISH.

Something. anything just please do not release those poor fish into the wild!!!

  4. If you give them away, take them to an aquarium shop, not just a pet chain (PetSmart, PetCo, etc.). Aquarium shops tend to have more knowledgable staff people, know the fish requirements, and can take better care of them.

  5. Sounds like you are in Houston...I'm in Galveston...

Go to Petco...the one closer to me in League City adopts unwanted or over grown fish out...free of charge.  In fact, I believe most Petco's in the area will do this.  They can't resell them due to liability issues.  If ya take em in and just say you are not wanting them anymore then they will put them in a tank and put up for adoption.  Just call your local Petco and ask for aquatics...and ask em.

You could do with only a total of 3 Cory Cats...they are social, but can definitely thrive with 3.  What size tank do you have?

    Best of Luck!

  6. DON'T EVER RELEASE FISH IN NATURE!!!! There are many environmental problems that can arise.

give it away to friends or to a local fish store.

    feed them to an oscar.

  7. dont release it in the wild

    give it away

  8. They will die if you release them into the wild. If you are cleaning your tank put them in a bowl while cleaning.

  9. i dont really get the question. but if your asking where to put it when you clean your tank, i would put it in a cup. lol i dont know if that was what you were asking though.
