  1. I just stayed at this hotel ADRIATIC which is located near Gare de Lyon (eastern part of the city), just a block and a half away from the Gare de Lyon metro station. Using the metro/RER you can be in the Champs Elysees (full of restaurants and shops which are open till midnite) or in the Tour Eiffel area within 10-15 minutes. If money is not a concern I would advice that you stay near the Opera Garnier area, where there is also a lively night life and you're close to most of the major attractions (Louvre, Tuileries, other museums).

  2. Stay on the Rue de Saint-Denis near the Moulin Rouge.  Cheap lodging but you will have to prostitute yourself.  That's not like a problem, is it?!?!?

  3. close to chatelet les halles..............  It's just the best place for you !!!!

Otherwise, St germain des près, St paul, Place monge !!!

  4. This site has a really nice one!

This is in a really good location with everything around the area.

    Hope this helps!!

  5. It is really easy to get around Paris- provided the public transportation doesn't go on strike, which is always a possibility. When I went, I stayed right across from the Gare du Nord, a little place called Hotel Gare du Nord. The accomodations weren't amazing, but I only slept there. It is one of the least expensive areas to stay in Paris, and it isn't exactly Monmartre, but it's only a walk away! You'll be spending a lot of money in Paris, eating, going out, shopping, museums; unless you plan on spending a lot of time in your hotel room, I wouldn't spend all your money on a great hotel in a fancy arrondisement.

  6. Near the station is a popular erea, but can be expensive, try a Ibiss hotel there good and not too expensive.

  7. For the last 35 years I've been staying at the Hotel St. Andre des Artes on trips to Paris. Its a great place with a loyal clientel and a very pleasant and helpful staff.

Its centrally located at 66 rue St. Andre des Artes in the 6th arrondissement (Metro stop is Odeon) in a very lively neighborhood filled with cafes, restaurants and shops.

Its also cheap. A double with ensuite WC and shower and breakfast in the morning is just 86 euros.

It is however, NOT the Holiday Inn. No elevator. No minibar. No TV. No room service.
