Me and my family are visiting Montreal for the first time in the next week or so and we're wondering where we should go and what we should see. I was also wondering where i should go to shop. I'm looking for tight jeans for guys or even cardigans. Anywhere is fine as long as its not super expensive.

  1. To arrive to those shopping malls by Metro, you can take the station ''Peel'' or ''McGill'' they take you directly in the mall.

  2. Do your shopping on St Catherine.  Between Rue Guy, and the Main.

You have not given a hint of what kind of activity you are looking for, so what can I say.

  3. Where will you be staying?  If you are somewhere on the west end of town (the west island), I recommend you shop at Fairview Pointe-Claire shopping mall.  It's big and you'll find whatever you're looking for there.

If you are closer to downtown, I'd suggest you make the Eaton Center your starting point and go from there.  Simons is a nice place to shop, there is also The Bay close by as well.

For activities, you can check out the old port of Montreal or maybe even go to the amusement park "La Ronde".

  4. I would agree with the people here and say St Catherine street, at Peel or McGill metro. There you have the Eatons Centre, Place Montreal Trust, Les Ailes de la Mode, Simons, etc. But it also depends what type of shopping you want to do. It could be fun to go to Mont Royal metro and walk along Mont Royal for more hippy-type stores or goth-y stores.
