I was in Berlin this June and stayed at Baxpax Kreuzberg hostel (I'm a student and it was a cheap&nice place to stay with very helpful staff,close to the U&S bahn station) - http://www.baxpax.de/en/home/. Kreuzberg is a turkish neighbourhod, has a lot of interesting restaurants and caffes, people are nice and friendly... There is a lot to see in Berlin (Unter den Linden,Brandenburg gate,KaDeWe.....),a lot of different places to go out at night. I also went on a pub crawl and had a blast, good thing to do if you want to meet people (Germans&foreigners) -http://www.newberlintours.com/nbt/. You should definitely take warm clothes and check weather forecast on the Internet before you go cause the weather is not normal in Europe for this time of year (not so cold,no snow...). Berlin is my favorite city!  I have visited approximately 5 times.  I would suggest visiting the Sony Center, stroll down Unter Den Linden, shop the Ka De We making sure you go to the top floor where they have all the food.  Near the Ka De We is the Kudam and Europa Center.  There is so much to do there that I can't possibly recommend every thing you should do or see.  Just check out Berlin's visitors website and plan what interests you.

I just returned from there. I stayed at the Berlin Palace hotel which is just across from Zoo Station on Budapest Strasse in the heart of the city, and EVERYTHING is real close.....I highly recommend it! plus, the prices are down now until the end of March! But take Warm clothes!!!!! Rooms were 130.00 a night

The tours available are amazing, as there is SO MUCH THERE TO SEE AND LEARN ABOUT. just Pick One!!!!

Enjoy yourself. It's also the coolest PARTY Town, if that's your thing!!!
