I would recommend Tiger, Tiger. It is a bar/club/restaurant everything you need 4 a good night out. And is in the city centre so is close to other clubs and hotels. Have a great night!

I reckon Castlefield would be the best bet as the rest of the city will be packed and drunken.  At least there'll be some sophistication at somewhere like Dukes 92 or Atlas.  My best advice is pick a place on your side of town (I live near Castlefield!) as getting a taxi will be a nightmare.  Or book one in advance.  And get buying your tickets now!

I've always tended to stay at home on NYE as I find paying over the odds to get in somewhere that is packed so badly that a trip to the bar is a battle to the death and getting a taxi is slow torture in the endless rain surrounded by drunken fools horrendous.  I'd much rather be at home with some good champagne and great company.  My neighbours are throwing the party this year so the stagger won't be too far!

Stay away from Didsbury...tickets only plus no taxis leads to c**p night out. Best bet is a house party...where do you live!
