  1. Your possibilities are endless.  The first place I would go is to the HSLDA site.  They will get you all the info you need for your state.  If you are looking for curriculum I really like to read reviews at www.homeschoolreviews.com and I would do a search in Yahoo groups for help.  I would also call your local library to see if they know of any groups that meet.  I hope this helps, but it is just a drop in the bucket.  If you want more guidance try www.smoothingtheway.com for first year homeschoolers!

  2. 9th? Home school and have maladjusted child for life.

  3. i know a great christian based curriculum that we use at my christian school, they can also do homeschooling, the website is, www.aceministries.com.  try it out. see if they can send u some info.

  4. HSLDA site is good for the legal overview in each state, but it'll probably be more helpful to actually speak to a homeschooler in your area to find out what opportunities exist for classes, support groups, clubs, field trips, etc. Try to find a support group in your area, or the state organizations often have local contacts who have volunteered to answer newbies's questions and walk them through the process.
