Where should we go on holiday in 2009?

26 year old couple from the north of England. NOT into clubbing or late nights out but want somewhere sunny and quiet where we can chill out. We are really skint though so the holiday NEEDS TO BE CHEAP as does the cost of eating and drinking out when we are there. We went to Lanzarote in 2008 and it was soooooo expensive, so we were thinking of somewhere out of the euro zone (but don't want long haul). I was thinking Bulgaria but am after other suggestions too. Thanks!!!!

Bulgaria fits most of your criteria - completely agree about staying away from the eurozone.
