Question:

Where should we go on holiday in Australia?

Hi - My mum and I are looking for our next holiday somewhere - combined we've already been to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Hobart, Launceston, Warwick, Armidale, Melton, Gold and Sunshine coasts (and all the theme parks and Australia zoo), Lamington national park etc.

We were thinking of Uluru but it's so expensive to go as it's in the red centre and we live in a large city on the east coast. We also don't want to go to North QLD even though it's popular because we can't stand humidity.

Any cheap, easy getaways with interesting stuff to see? By cheap I mean preferrably NO guided tours because they're expensive. So somewhere we can explore without having to pay people to help us do it. Also we don't live driving in new places - so hiring a car is not high on the agenda.

Any serious suggestions welcome.

Thanks :)

  1. What about Adelaide - some great places to go there- you could explore the wineries or go down along the coast - quite spectacular

What about catching the Indian Express train accross the Nullabor to Western Australia. Train trip is about three days from Melbourne - very relaxing -have few stops along the way including Kalgoorlie. Perth is a great city  -lots to do there

  2. Perth is and South West WA is a beautiful place to visit. It doesnt have that many attractions like theme parks but it is a very interesting place if you like relaxing, more outdoors and educational holidays. There is a great tree top walk at Walpole, the whaling museum at Albany, the many quaint seaside villages. If your up for some hiking you might even try the Bibbulmun track, which snakes through the wilderness from Perth to Albany.

  3. If ur going to warwick

Go to a place called Cherabah

    Or visit my place Jlks....

Umm Moreteon Island is a awesome place here...You just need a 4WD or u can go to Tangalooma Resort...where u can feed the doliphins and that...

  4. I suggest you visit also Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley as well. If you want cheap finds, including tourist attractions, accommodations, etc, visit these websites:
