Where should we honeymoon?

We are getting married in May and are looking at honeymoon destinations. We would like an all inclusive resort somewhere tropical and not super expensive. Any suggestions?

Where did you go and what did you like about it?

  1. I recommend renting a Caribbean vacation home. A lot of them are in resorts, so you're in a place where you can walk to the beach, enjoy cocktails at the bar, have one or usually several swimming pools, etc. They're not all-inclusive, so you have to make your own food (though sometimes they include breakfast service, or chefs that you can hire inexpensively for dinner), but it's WAY cheaper than a tiny resort hotel room, and you usually get a much nicer, more spacious house or apartment. That way you have the privacy and romance that you expect on your tropical sunny honeymoon!

  2. Banff Rocky Mountains in Canada is BEAUTIFUL.  Canmore Alberta is very pretty too, just avoid this particular group and you should be fine.

    Congratulations!

  3. I would recommend St. Martin in the Caribbean. The prices may be a bit more than you may like it, but it is worth the extra money. The island is not that big, but it feels like you you are in a whole other world. The culture there is a mix between dutch and french and has excellent restaurants. It has beautiful beaches with white sand and lots of all-inclusive hotels along the beachfront. And congratulations on your marriage.

  4. Catalina Island is nice for inexpensively off So. California coast - about $50 a ticket to board the Catalina Flyer and you're there in about an hour!  It's great to snorkel in Descanso Bay.  With the savings you could stay at a really beautiful resort there in Avalon - maybe even the Wrigley Mansion!  or some bed and breakfast.  We have stayed at the Best Western Catalina Canyon resort which has a pool and jacuzzi in a beautiful setting and has a fairly good restaurant.  It's definitely away from the hustle bustle of the mainland as there are very few cars and most use golf carts to whip around.  It's situated very close to a golf course if that interests you.  Probably not.  Ask for a honeymoon suite wherever you go.  Avila Beach has a beautiful place also just north of Santa Barbara, CA.

Maui and Kauai are my favorite islands I've been to.  We have loved even camping on the islands and it is VERY CHEAP!!!  but the accommodations are very down to earth lovely - or should I say down to sea!  There are some beautiful camping spots, so check them out online - If you go to Maui, make sure to hike the Ioa Needle - ( pronounced Ee-OW - I forget the spelling, tho)  - It's a beautiful hike and not difficult at all!  There's lovely streams, bridge, plants, flowers, along the paths.  You will love it!  When you get to the Needle

    you will think it unique!

The other thing I recommend is Baja California - Los Cabos, or Rosarito Beach for a pleasing place check them out first online.

  5. i own a website that provides huge savings, mostly from 10-75% off, you can even book an adventure to space, we can help you find a resort, a tour ( anywhere in the world, ever thought of a hiking trip through the amazon?), cruises, and for the tighter budget you could see some of america's greatest city's

i hope this can help you and that you spread the word of your savings.
