  1. Try http://www.AmericaCheapHotels.com/USA/St...

  2. Some good suggestions here. When you've chosen an area , go for the highest star rating on a beach.  With this site using the money you save you can buy a better stay :

    French Site : http://www.hotelsenfrancais.com/United-S...

    German Site : http://www.hotelsdeutsche.com/United-Sta...

  3. I live in Maui, and I suggest that you try this website www.mauiresortrentals.net. I used this when we first started traveling there. The website offers great condo rentals with all the amenities. Also there are a ton of great discount rates most under 100 a night. They are very nice I would try Kalalma Terrace or Kihei Bay Surf. They are newly remodeled rooms and have great swimming pools and plenty of room for the kids to run around. Also at Kihei Bay Surf there is a great beach right across the street with a building that offers alot of great info on whales. I have used both of these condo rentals and it was only 109 a night! Also the condos are very secluded and are in Kihei which offers all that you are looking for as well as a short drive to other towns that have great beaches as well for a cheaper price. Don't forget to drive to the top of Haleakala crater it's only 10 for the entire car load as well as a trip to Hana to see the 7 sacred pools and the bamboo forest! If you need anymore info IM me! Aloha!

  4. Kihei has a lot going for it- it has some of the best beaches around. It is more centrally located than Kaanapali. It is close to Maalaea, and the snorkel and other cruises. It is close to Wailea, with the beautiful hotels, Big and Little Beach, and offshore snorkeling. It is less expensive than Kaanapali, and has shopping and dining, also. You can find beaches that are more secluded, and less secluded- Kamaole is a very long beach! The luaus are basically in the Lahaina area.

  5. If you never been to Maui . I say stay around Kihei .   It about in the  middle of the island . This way you don't have to travel  as much. Maui is very laid back . The idea is  "you get there  when you get there. " I'm going in Oct. And found  a place  on Sugar beach, That is cheap and has a kitchen   So can cook out own meal if we wish to .

  6. Kaanapali is where most of the tourists go there's like a 1 mile strip of hotels, Honalua, or Wailea (very expensive but luxurious hotels) Eat at the 4 Seasons Hotel Wolfgang Puck's restaurant called Spago's. Another good place to eat in Kihei is Stella Blue's Cafe, and the famous Charlie's where all the celebs have dined.

Be sure to do the Hana drive, stop at 7 pools,Wainapanapa or Black Sand beach, drive and go hiking at Haleakala, go to Big Beach and Little Beach. Take a boat ride to Molokini and snorkel. At sunset in Kaanapali near black rock there's people that run around with torches and light all the tiki's then jump off of black rock you can also snorkel there.

  7. Since you will be traveling with your daughters I would recommend a condo since it will be more spacious and affordable.  I would also recommend the area around Kihei since the weather is sunnier.  You will probably want to rent a car to go see more of the island.

Here is a website where you can find some great condos:
