  1. Weight on the backswing should be  inside the thigh of the rear leg; on the followthru on your planted leading leg as you hit against a firm side.

  2. For righty. Backswing weight on right, weight transfers to left for followthru. Shoulders start the backswing, left hip starts the downswing.

  4. Inside the right foot on your backswing. Put a wedge under the outside of your right foot. Make a backswing, feel the inside of your right foot "dig" in. This is the feeling you want. On the follow-thru, you will strive to finish on the OUTSIDE of your left foot. Study any of your favorite golfers any you will notice a beautiful finish, with the left foot beautifully "rolled" towards the target. Warning, this is a LOT easier said than done. Don't get discouraged if your balance keeps you from this position. Only less than 10% of the golfing world have this type of swing. The rest of us just play the best we can.

  5. On your backswing, you should feel most of your weight on the inside of your right foot (for right handed players and vice versa for left). During transition and follow through, you want to be shifting your weight to your left side (again for right handed players ...), but making sure that your head stays behind the ball through impact. A common mistake is shifting your weight forward to early and you wind up being in front or over top of the ball, your hands way behind, and you pull your shots to the left. The opposite of this is when you stay too far behind and your hands get in front and the ball goes right (or pushed).
