  1. Perpignan is a 2 hour drive from Barcelona (by freeway).

The Aude region is very beautiful.

There is Limoux with its famous wine (blanquette).

There is Rennes-le-Château with its mystery

    Lots of castles...

Visit the following website for details...

  2. Perpignan is closed but has no real interests.. it's not a nice city.

You should go to Carcassonne, Montpellier, Nîmes, to the Cévennes area (mountains) or in the Pyrenees. Many castles and nice parks there. Or you can visit the wine region near Collioure.

  3. On the other answer it is Juan les pins! south France closed to Nice.

If you want to go to france from barcelona, the biger city aren't so closed. Perpignan is less famous, closer but also nice.

if you want to do some shopping Andora in Spain.

The best thing to do is to by one map in one gaz station (Michelin) and used one green road for tourisme. castles, parcks, museums, beachs,...

  4. Before you go for a tour or a travel you need to plan something. Visit online website to know

more about the place the people, hotels, their cost and get a brief idea about the place. Try to be prepare before hand also get some

knowledge about the laws and rules of that place.

  5. It is about 400 miles from Barcelona to Cannes so it is a long day out. The hill towns a few miles from the coast are good try Eze or Grasse http://www.a-taste-of-france.com/grasse-...

  6. I was there a month ago. I think you should see nice, cannes, and juanlepene.  I think the hill towns are ok.They are very slow and not too many tourist, Also go visit Montecarlo. The city Monaco is great  and has many night getaways. Marsselis, St Tropez are also nice.

I really don't like south of france it was ok, From a scale of

    1-10 i would rate it as a 4.

  7. Go to Carcasonne.  It's on the same rail line as Perpignan and it's really impressive.  (medieval walled city)

Make sure you eat no matter where you go in France.  Splurge on quality meals.  You won't regret it.

  8. Languedoc-Rousillon is the nearest part of France to Barcelona.

Some notes I've made about towns to visit :

        * Montpellier, regional capital of Languedoc Rousillon, and Herault is an old university town. Medical schools were established during the occupation by the Moors around the 9th century. The Moors, at that time, were the most advanced scientific culture in the Mediterranean basin. Today Montpellier has stunning modern architecture alongside an ancient centre. The tram makes it easy to visit the numerous art galleries and museums.

        * Nimes, the capital of Gard, was the Nemausus of Roman history. The arena (built AD or BC 0) is still in use. The old city and Maison Carre are worth visiting.

        * Arles is of interest for its extensive Roman remains and also it's artistic history.

        * Narbonne, just outside Languedoc, has fine Roman remains.

        * Mountain areas include Mt Aigoual, Anduze, Florac, Ganges, Gorge du Tarn, Mt Lozere, Mende, Millau, St Guilhem le Desert, St Hippolyte du Fort, St Enimie, Sauve, Le Vigan,

Coastal towns include Beziers, Bouzigues, Camargue, Canal du Midi, Cap d’Agde,  Grande Motte, Grau de Roi, Maguelone, Marseillan, Meze, Sete.

        *

Historical interest in Aigues Mortes, Beaucaire, Lodeve, Pezenas, Sommieres, Uzes, Pont du Gard, Lunel (inc Ambrussum).

        *

This should be a guide for your research
