Where the h**l does Channel 7, Sydney Australia, get off Advertising During the Credits of their Shows?

Question

This is a phenomenon that has been occurring over the last few months (and not just this TV network either). I think it is disrespectful to the people who worked on the shows the TV network is displaying. It robs the people who worked to produce the show of the recognition they deserve for their work (even though the average person who view these films could not give a sh_it).

It also irritates me, as the c**p that they are advertising is just that. What do you think about this?

B. It drives me nuts when I see a show and I cant remember someones name then wait for the credits to see only to have them blocked out by advertising or have them go by so fast you cant read a thing.

Channel seven has (usually) 5 mins of show, 5 mins of ads. F_ck channel 7!

I have to agree with you on that one.  I think it is extremely disrespectful to everyone involved in the show, especially since when they start the advertising in the credits these days they not only squish them with an ad in the top half of the screen and kill the music (which is just being plain rude to the composer), THEY ALSO HIT THE FAST FORWARD BUTTON!!  (which annoys the c**p out of me)  That's just so rude it's almost unbelievable!

The first time I noticed it was some time early last year I think, when the credits for a movie I had just watched started rolling.  They didn't hit the fast forward button on that one, (that is a more recent addition to Channel 7's sins - I haven't seen another station do that ... yet) just the squished credits - but they ran a FULL 5 MINUTE music video promo for "Grey's Anatomy" over the top!! (and of course completely wiped out the closing credits music for the movie)

To the networks: you have plenty of time during your ad breaks to advertise shows you want to push (in fact you generally run an ad for a show as the last ad in almost every ad break!), so stop killing the credits as well!

Channel 7 (the prime offender), and others, it's time you started showing a little respect for those who make the movies and other programs you show!

i can tell you the names of actors way back in the 60's because they always ran the credits before and after the show...now i rarely know who any of the actors are because of this problem...

It drives me nuts as well.  They do that here in America.  Mosat of the time I wan to see an actors name or find out the name of a song and you cant.

yes, it is rather annoying.

When we catch the end of Neighbours it just randomly goes from the Neighbors theme song to the voice of that channel 10 guy.

But as I dont really care about who made the show either, you should give the local guys a good credit on such shows as Home and Away, Neighbors, Kath and Kim and all of those Australian shows.

Its not as bad as the US i suppose who race their credit at around 1000 miles per hour!

I don't watch Channel 7 except the mornings for Sunrise... I don't know what you're on about but at times I do notice they fast forward the credits at the end...
