Where to Visit in Leeds and Edinburgh?

I'm going to see Edinburgh and Leeds for a couple of days to make up my mind about uni. I need advice for shops, nightlife, eating out, markets, other entertainments to visit. & anything else that might draw me to that city. Thank you!!

Edinburgh is a superb city, there is no reason why you shouldnt be happy at uni there. I visit as much as i can staying here as its convenient:

I would do all the usual tourist stuff, be sure to climb Arthurs Seat, visit Leith and the Scottish Parliament and take a walk up to the castle!

Try visiting the Armouries in Leeds. Edinburgh has a castle.

well Leeds uni is just on out skirts of Leeds city centre ,so loads of good shops,pubs,night clubs,restaurants cafes on the doorstep we have even got an Harvey nicks here too,inside and outside market,art gallery,royal armouries,granary wharf (little shops under railway arches)corn exchange (more shops)good rail and bus links (even a free city centre bus)all this in the city centre lots of other things round about too ...hope you enjoy it ..............   :)
