Where to ask about building plans?

I am going to move to country side.There is big field near our house i want to check wether there are any plans to build something in the future

  1. The Planning Department can not only tell you if there are any current applications but can also give you details of the Local Development Plan which will state what could be built in the future. If it is in the countryside it is unlikely that anything other than farm buildings would be permitted




  2. Check with the Planning Department at the local council. They will have records of all current and outstanding planning applications, and will be able to advise you generally!
