I have a Pioneer DEH-3000IB installed in my Mazda6. I was thinking of adding an amp and a sub. I can't give up trunk space so I need a components that will fit under a seat somewhere. I don't want to spend a fortune, just improve the sound quality. Any suggestions?

  1. just runtwo 8in subs and a 500 watt amp

  2. Theres a lot of options.

You can get a sub that can be mounted under your seat:

    For example - http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9755...

    or

you can get a sub in a truck box which are relatively small

    For example -

its really all about how much you want to spend

just make sure if you get a sub/amp combo that the amp matches the subs rms perfect. (or as close as possible)

  3. your best bet would be to look into "free-air" subs (don't require a box) and they can be mounted on your rear deck where the rear speakers usually are and they would use the trunk itself as the box

  4. Start here http://spkrbox1.spaces.live.com

  5. Bazooka tube may be your best bet...Look here.

also look at the next site,I found a fiberglass custom enclosure for your application.
