Where to buy Electronic Goods in Singapore ??

Question

I want to purchase a Laptop and a Handy Cam. Can someone tell me any market or shop in Singapore which is Cheap and Reliable to buy these items ?

Also compared to US are the rates for such items is Singapore similar ?

1. for a painless safe experience, I recommend Mustafa Centre. You cannot bargain here. But they have always given competitive prices, not always the lowest but you know you won't be cheated here.

2. If you are buying from Sim Lim Square, beware the salespeople on Level 1 because they have 101 ways to mark up prices on you, e.g. upsell you an add-on whose brand you've never heard of. They'll try to convince you it's good. Do some research. Check the models and prices online first. That way, you'll know whether you get a good bargain when you come.

In Singapore, one would go to Sim Lim Towers for Electronic Items.

Just know what you are going to buy and the Prices in th US. Sometimes US Prices could be lower as the US importers buy much larger quantities and therefore get better prices.

You can go to Sim Lim Square, it's in the CBD area, next to Burlington Square.

I will not recommend tourists to shop at Sim Lim, but rather a places like Courts, Harvey Norman.. or even Funan IT Mall. Mustafa is not bad too.

Try Mustaffa Center for your Handy cam and either Funan the IT Mall or Sim Lim Square for your Lappy.

Besides Sim Lim Towers mentioned by Ajeet, you can also go to Sim Lim Square, which is diagonally across the major junction from Sim Lim Towers.
