  1. Sorry, there is no such breed as "maltipoo." There are maltese/poodle mixes, but never should they be bred on purpose. Malteses and poodles both are wonderful dogs! Malteses are all white, and poodles can be apricot color.

If you want a mixed breed, adopt any mutt from a shelter and save it's life!

Never buy from a shop! These are sickly bred dogs, that come from puppy mills!

  2. http://www.petfinder.com

And I don't think a dog is right for you.  It's pretty clear that school should be your top priority, not training a badly bred mutt and dealing with all his illnesses that come from the bad breeding.

The only people who "really need a doggy really bad" are people who have service or working dogs.  Certainly not spoiled pre-teens who want to be like Blake Lively.

Oh, and that puppy find site given is a puppy mill site.  Don't know what one is?  http://www.stoppuppymills.org

  3. Please don't call it a "Maltipoo" it sounds really silly, the real name is maltese x poodle which is a mutt anyway. No good breeders breed mutts. If you come across someone who does, they are obviously a BYB (back yard breeder) Save a life, go and rescue from your local shelter. The only place you should ever get a mutt is the pound, a rescue, a shelter or any other dog saving organisations.

  4. Don't listen to the negative responses that you got. There are a lot of ignorant people on yahoo answers. Maltipoos are indeed a mix but they have been bred for many, many years. They are very cute and wonderful little dogs. You can even buy books on them from Petsmart and Chapters etc. Check out kijiji.com for your local area and you may also be interested in this site http://www.puppyofmydreams.com/

They also frequently have maltipoos for sale.

BTW- there are just as many bad breeders of purebred dogs so everyone who had a negative "those are just mutts" response- If you really care about dogs then you should care more about who is breeding- not what is being bred. a dog is a dog is a dog. There are just as many purebreds at the shelter. If not more now because the demand is for mixed breeds right now. Purebred breeders should not be breeding so many puppies and clogging up the shelter. They should take their own darn advice on this. If they had truley decent stock they wouldn't worry about designer dogs.

Cheers! And good luck finding a maltipoo!

  5. They're mutts.

Responsible breeders do NOT breed mutts and petshops are filled with puppymill dogs that are very sickly and riddled with health problems.

  6. I would reccomend looking on the site puppyfind.com this is a fairly good site but be sure to screen carefully before buying.

  7. That is a mutt and a responsible breeder should not create such a mix on purpose.

Go to the SPCA and save a dog or contact a rescue group for a breed that you like.

  8. just go to a shelter and get one there. That is where people dump these silly "designer mixes" when they get tired of them (without training them, etc. or the "kids won't take care of them") when they are about 8-16 months old.

Trust me, they are there, just go to petfinder.com.

At least that way you won't be supporting another byb or puppy mill person. Go here:
