  1. go to khs.com and check out all there catagories till you find them and then click on the find a dealer butten

  2. For a higher end tandem, consider Co-Motion.

There are two Co-Motion dealers in the Chicagoland area.

    Beautiful workmanship from Co-Motion.

  3. The bike you are looking for is more properly called a tandem. There are some popular makers of tandems, like Trek and Burley. There are Trek dealers just about everywhere, go to www.trekbikes.com to locate a dealer. I've included links to two of Trek's tandems below, one is about $700, and the other is $2700. I've also included a link to Burley, so you can read about their bikes and locate a dealer. You could probably find a used one, but they are generally not cheap.

  4. Visit a few shops in your area and see what they offer. This is the best way to shop ESPECIALLY if they have tandems on the floor.

Much as I hate to admit it, Cannondale makes a smokin' tandem. I don't like to admit it because I don't like Cannondale. They start about $1200 and go up.

My preference is KHS as they seem a bit more responsive and don't beat you up as much. They start about $900.

If you are looking for a tandem that will be a pleasure to ride and won't require constant maintenance you'll need to spend at least $700, but a good target would be in the $1000 range.
