So..I will be starting college soon as a freshman and I heard (and know) that books in college cost a lot (too much!), so I was thinking what are the alternatives than buying from a college bookstore (which is too expensive)?

I always use amazon.com. You can search for your books and either buy them directly from amazon or purchase them from a third party. Usually I can purchase a brand new book for the used price at our University bookstore.

Orders over $25 offer free shipping too.

I've never had any trouble using amazon and feel comfortable using my credit card. It's not iffy and unpredictable like ebay can be.
