Where to buy filipino sim cards?

i live in seattle WA and where can i buy filipino sim cards? so when i text family in the philippines it only cost them 1 peso...

Get someone there to get a sim card and put it on roaming for you and then send it to you in the mail.  Then put that sim card in your tri-band, open line phone here in US.  Don't use that roaming sim to text to them because it will burn your load.  Receive only.  Instead just use some US phone like Tracfone or T-mobile to text them for cheap.  They can answer you on the roaming sim they sent to you.  You will need two phones, them only one.

before going to the US, you should set your roaming service, FIRST, before you leave the Philippines...

I believe there are two sim cards available in the market right now. One is Globe and the other one is Smart. I was able to use both but decided on using Smart for it's cheaper for me.

I believe you can buy Sim cards at any Filipino stores like Seafood Stores and Island Pacific. Better yet go ask someone in the Philippines mail it to you.  

You need to load atleast 300 pesos and it's good for three months. People from the Philippines will cost them 1 Peso and would cost you nothing to receive text messages. If you're the one sending text message...I think the charge would be like 15-20 pesos per text message. So better use free sms online if you're the one texting like Chikka, ICQ, YM sms etc.

When your 300 peso load expires and you haven't reloaded yet. You need to ask your friends in the Philippines to pass a load to you atleast 30 pesos for you to load your 300 peso card.

You can buy the load cards at Seafood City or any other Filipino Stores near you.

i dont know but if you join your reward service they will give you differant rewards every three year and one of them will be an amount of free sim cards
