Where to buy the Lid Switch Assembly for Whirlpool washer (Model: SAWS800MQ0) at local stores?

My whirlpool washer SAWS800MQ0 only fills the water and then stop running at all. I suspect this may be because of the broken Lid Switch Assembly. But I am not 100% sure. Where can I buy this part at local store in New Jersey? If not local store, which online store can I buy it?

  1. Your local sears service center should be able to get this part for you.

You could always short out the switch (attach the 2 leads together) to allow the washer to run, You will just need to remember to close the lid when running it, and stop the washer if you need to open the lid and add or take something out.

  2. try a hardware

  3. Any appliance parts store will have the lid switch.  Look in the Yellow pages under appliance repair or parts.  Good luck and God Bless.  A broken lid switch will cause the problem you described.

  4. Until you can get a new switch you can hot wire the broken one. Their are 3 wires. A green one and two other wires. The green one is a ground wire, leave that one alone. Splice the remaining 2 wires together and start washing in New Jersey :D. Just keep the lid closed and don't try to grab any clothes while it is spining full blast. LOL!

  5. www.marcone.com

  6. Try www.repairclinic.com.  It definitely could be a lid switch problem.  Go to http://www.repairclinic.com/0088_11_1.as...

They will help you troubleshoot the problem and sell you parts if you want to buy them there.  There should be local appliance parts stores in your area also.
