I am from Indiana, and during the Indy 500 or brickyard there are no shortages of camp spots. I am going down to bristol for the weekend. Leaving Indiana friday morning, so we should be down there around 3 or 4. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find a camp site? Because most people I have talked to suggested getting down there thursday night

  2. May I suggest the Hicks Whitetop Campground?

I have stayed there for the last two fall races.  Very friendly people, decent sized camp sites.  They have primitive or with hookups.  Bath houses, porta potties, usually have entertainment, they have a breakfast/lunch bar.  And best of all, it's only $100.00 (for a tent spot) no matter how long you stay.
