My brother and I share a 99 Toyota Tacoma and unfortunately we only have one key. Can i just go to any key copy place (like walmart or something) to get a second key?

some info: our truck doesn't have automatic locks- its just manual (like u gotta to press down the lock with your hands) and it doesn't open with one of those car remote.

  1. go to a toyota dealer. I have a 99 honda and only had one key and went a honda dealer and they made me one for $1.50

  2. Well you kinda answered your own question.. Walmarts around me do have a key copying center.. I know you can also get a key copied at Lowes and Home Depot. and you could also go to a locksmith if you choose to.

  3. You can go anywhere you would be able to get your house keys copied like a hardware store and everyplace Douglas mentioned.

  4. OLE' DOUG BEAT TO  THIS ONE.   JUST FOLLOW DOUG'S ADVICE.

NOW IF YOU HAVE THE SMALL COMPUTER  CHIP ON YOUR KEY, MR. TOYOTA WILL HAVE TO BE SOUGHT OUT!!!! LOTS OF LOCKSMITHS CAN DUPE THIS KEY, BUT IF IN DOUBT, CHECK MR.TOYOTA OUT.  [DEALER]

    EDIT:

THE CHIP IS ON THE KEY!

                                'BRILLIANT'!!!!!
