  1. toys r us

  2. If hes active duty then he will arrive at his home base as his final stop with a portion of his unit..

Im guessing hes a reservist, most reserve units also arrive at a large active duty base. Maybe the base where he left from..If he was flying home alone then I would say the airport. But most arrivals return to a base

Ive seen reserve units arrive at a active base then they are shipped to their reserve center.

  3. most likely he will fly onto the base.  if you have base privileges, you can pick him up at the base terminal.  if you can find out before he comes home where he's flying into (keep in mind that plans almost ALWAYS changes), you can figure on meeting him at either the base terminal or the airport (if he's flying commercial).

  4. When ever I've deployed I've flown commercial...and it was at major airports. I do know that there are military transports that travel to and from bases...It would depend on which transport they use.

You should ask your friend when and where is he arriving. Even if he is commercial there may be a military van or bus bringing him somewhere else when his plane lands. (That has happened to me). He might have a few things he has to do to complete his travel.

I am sure he wants to see you as much as you want to see him and he will know his travel plans. Ask him where and when he wants to meet up with you that way you be able to be at the right place at the right time.

  5. Marines generally hang out in water-front dives...go to one and I am sure you can "pick one up", You want a Soldier or Airman, go to a $itty bar.  Sailors, well they are generally found in Soda Fountains......

All joking aside,  your Marine will call and tell you where and approx when.  Remember that delays beyond his control do exist.  Enjoy your time together!

  6. If he is given leave, and he probably will, he will fly home and you should pick him up there; actually the person to ask is him since would know dates and time he would be arriving.

  7. The U.S. is almost broke.

You might have to pick him up at the bus station.

  8. He will be flown in or come in by ship to his home base and then meet up with his unit prior to meeting with his family. Then after all that you will be able to be with him.

Did he go to Iraq on a plane or did he go on float on a ship?

    Good luck
