Where to eat between LAX and Downey?

Question

I'll be driving to a concert in Downey, Ca. and I'm looking for a decent place to eat before hand. Wouldn't mind some quality Mexican food, but I'm pretty open to other suggestions. I won't be wearing a tie to this particular concert, BTW

Most likely you will be taking the 105 freeway and the only places along there are in bad areas, if you dare theres a King taco off long beack blvd and the 105, great hole in the wall fast food mexican....if you wait till you get to downey there should be a bobs big boy out there now, theres a chipotle and a shopping center called downey landing off of lakewood blvd, they have an elephant bar and some other restaurants...enjoy

You have to go to the "Del Rey" restaurant in Downey! Best food, ambiance, and they have a trophy room! The restaurant is named for a famous racehorse owned by the owner of the restaurant. The "Chopped Salad" is wonderful, and they make the best martini's- The bartender has been there for Years, and knows his business! Valet parking, just a classy joint!
