Where to eat in Brighton?

My sister lives in Brighton. I'm going to meet her for some Xmas shopping- where could we go for early dinner? We've tried loads of the Lanes and are sick of Pinnochio's, Donnatello's etc' We like the Lanes and North Lanes - nothing too chainey. We both like international cuisine- especially oriental, but anything tasty and mid-price would be lovely...

  1. OKINI PAN-ASIAN RESTAURANT

    70, East St, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 1HQ

    Tel: 01273 779933

    I recommend this one, its fantastic...;

  2. try Mama Cherry's ( it was on Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmare's, but very good now ) its just behind the Thistle Kings Rd or Nou Nou its on St Georges Road in Kemp Town and it serves Morocan food - very nice and a change from Italian I bet !!

    Or try Preston Street - lots of Oriental restaurants down there.

  3. There should still be a Nando's in the Lanes. I think its the North Lanes. Whichever one's the one that sells the antiques rather than grunge clothing! If you haven't been there then Nando's is a lovely restaurant that serves peri peri chicken which tatses delicious. I think it's Portuguese. Hope this helps.

  4. China Garden or any restaurant down Preston Street, a little walk from the lanes but a whole street filled with non-chain restaurants.

    Enjoy your shopping and I hope you find a nice place to eat.

    If you  are having a afternoon snack or lunch, then the China Garden Dim sum menu is lovely.

    Merry Christmas
