Where to eat in Phuket?

Question

We will stay for 4 nights and wish to enjoy good local thai food.It will be good if the restuarant is around patong. Thanks.

food is everywhere.  if you want to enjoy the local foods, you just walk down the streets.  Vendors are everywhere.  Don't go to a restaurant.  That is catered to the non-Thais.  Eat where the locals do.  You'll love it.  BBQ pork or chicken.  Noodle soup.  Desserts.  Just walk.

There are a lot of resteraunts in patong itself if I remember right. Sorry I am not more help.

I did recall that you always want to look at the back of the resteraunt and make sure it is clean, otherwise don't go there.

i was in phuket last year and its full of lovely places to eat . there was 1 particular place on patong beach that was especialy nice , not sure of its name but its open air in a buffet style and they cook it in front of you , hope this helps . enjoy phuket .

It depends what you like, you can find local food anywhere. Seafood is best right on the main road adjacent to the beach, I would personally recommend a restaurant on that same street. It is Mexican themed, has good Mexican food and pizzas, an amazing variety of margaritas, and last but not least, great happy hour deals. There's outside seating and a great lounge area inside for a big group. Just travel up and down the street parallel to the beach in Patong and you'll be good. No tuk-tuk, just walk.
