It has to be cheap (it's a school trip so you can assume that we're looking for low budget-places to eat; of course, we already thought of McDonalds)

  1. There are plenty of good places around the Trevi fountain area. I went with a group also and we got gelato and sandwiches both in small restaurants near the fountain.

Also be sure to get one of those awesome jackets the people sell on the street that say 'Italia" or 'Roma' on them.

  2. McDonald's is actually pretty expensive in Rome.  There are a ton of places to eat in every piazza, down every alley.  Just don't sit down in the place it's a lot more expensive.  Just stand at the counter order a pannini or slice and sit in the piazza and eat.  Also, don't drink Coke or Pepsi.  You can get a fresh squeezed OJ and a nice sized sandwich for under 5Euro.

  3. you can go at the restaurant pastarito pizzarito... see  that:

    have fun!!!!

  4. so, don t come to Rome at all... eat in your mcdonalds and get fat where you are

  5. Any of the small family run places there are hundreds. A trattoria is an Italian style of restaurant, less formal than a ristorante. There are generally no printed menus, the service is casual, the prices low,

  6. it's pointless to go to McDonalds when there are lots of cheap places to eat in Rome

in the Ghetto area there's SORA MARGHERITA: a typical trattoria - don't look for signs or ads: two old chairs placed outside make you spot this restaurant

cheap/good pizzerias: in Trastevere I MARMI (or "undertakers" as people call them) in Viale Trastevere, less then 10 euros for pizza + supplì + water

in San Lorenzo area - Formula Uno - same menu for 8 euros

    ciao

  7. If it is a school trip you have to mind also about the size of the place.

I suggest you the two restaurants within the main train station Roma Termini.

They both offer a plenty of tables, various choice of food and drinks, service 11 - 22 continuously, security, safety and hygiene, reasonable price.

One - Autogrill - is located upon the ticket issue, the other - Gusto - beside the internal McDonald's in the front gallery.

  8. Pizza Ciro

Via della Mercede 43/45 (near via del corso e piazza di spagna)

they have good food and they have deals (you can have a pizza beer and appetizer with less then 10 euro)
