Where to eat near the latin quarter in Paris?

I'm taking my mum to paris for her b-day and I have booked a hotel near the latin quarter, in district 7, does anyone have any recommendations for a really nice atmospheric french restaurant that I could take her to? It doesn't have to be really cheap but I would rather not pay hundreds of pounds either. Any suggestions?

The 7th arrondissement is not the Latin Quarter so I am a bit confused by your question.

The 7th arrondissement is quite big. So you need to say just where your hotel is, if you want suggestions. I suppose it must be towards the eastern end of the 7th if it is near the latin quarter.

In any case, there are so many hotels in that area (especially the Latin q) that you will really be spoilt for choice. I would recommend that you just walk around, take in the atmosphere, read the menus outside the restaurants (a legal requirement in France) which are sometimes a literary exploit in themselves and are mouthwatering anyway. Then you can find one that has a good atmosphere and an appealing menu.  In any case, the atmosphere tends to vary by time of day so it's impossible to make a recommendation here. If you're going to eat at English meal times you might find many restaurants rather empty.

I can suggest a visit to "Brasserie Le Balzar" in the heart of the Latin quarter located at 49, Rue des Ecoles 75005 in Paris, of course.  The Bazar are near to subway Cluny Sorbonne. The price range  for a meal normally  go from 25 to 40 Euros...
