Where to extend my student visa?

my student visa to UK will expire in october, i have got an unconditional offer for a 3 years course starting in september i would like to know what would be the best to do inorder to extend my visa, i mean should i do it from the home office in uk or from british embassy in my country??? and if i can get a 5 years student visa so i dnt have to extend it again because i understand that there is no 3 years visa.

  1. hi. You need to extend your student visa at the Immigration and Nationality Department (Home Office) in Croydon. You can find their number on the internet and they also have a website. Phone them up before you go, and make sure you have all the required documents. Get a letter from your school /college/university to state that you are a student at that place of education and also state the length of the course, and the end date. The Home office should grant you a student visa for that time. If you are paying for the course yourself, then have proof available to the home office. Requirements change all the time, so ring them before for sure. Good luck.


  2. It is most unlikly you will be able to extend the Visa in England.You will have to return to your own country then reapply for a new Visa armed with the proper documentation.You make it sound so easy it is not beleive me.
