Where to fill up and propane gas bottle ?

I have just bought an empty one as it is cheaper but dont have a clue where i can fill it up.

Will the lpg nozzles used to fill up lpg cars work on these bottles.

If this helps it has a quick fit connector on the top

Many gas stations, home centers, places that sell BBQ's, and outdoor stores will either fill or exchange tanks.

It's usually cheaper to exchange it for an already filled one at places like Lowes than it is to have it filled at a propane dealers.

Check out yellow pages or a lot of hardware home improvement stores have bottle exchange.

Try the yellow pages first under gas companies or LP, etc.  Contrary to popular belief it is not cheaper to exchange it for someones elses that was refilled.  Where I live in Central IL a refill is about $12.00 and an exchange is anywhere from $18 to $25.

Many places carry LPG or propane. A few good places are Campgrounds (KOA, Etc), Hardware Stores, Some gas stations, some Uhaul locations.

Just as cheap as exchanging it for already filled one. I don't know where you live but even my grocery store has them. Probably Lowes, Home Depot, local hardware store, etc...
