Does anyone know where to by B batteries? I've checked several stores, and they don't seem to sell them (one of the clerks I asked didn't even know that there was such thing as a B battery)

  1. B batteries are from the very early days of radio.  In fact you will probably see the occasional tube circuit schematic where the high voltage connection is marked as the B+.  Some old timers will also refer to the main power connection as the B+.  I doubt anyone makes these types of batteries any longer, but you might try Batteries Plus.  I don't know how widespread they are, but we have several in the North Dallas area.

    Good luck.

  2. You are joking right?

A "B" battery is a VERY old style that is not widely available anymore.  What on earth could you possibly need one for?   They were used on old vacuum tube radios.
