I have a friend who really wants to write a song in Japanese. However, she hasn't been to Japan in a really long time and is somewhat stumped on where to go for translations. Does anyone know where I can find a free English to Japanese translation site? A catch though, the translations can't be in Japanese characters. They have to be in English text, so could someone please help?

Question again, Can someone please help me give my friend a free website to translate English to Japanese, but the translation being in english text, over Japanese characters? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

  1. try dictionary.com

  2. freetranslation.com

  3. http://www.dicts.info/dictionary.php?l1=...

This is a pretty good site for translating English to Romaji. It gives alternatives and phrases for words entered. Although it cant do block text...but then i would trust an online translator to anyway.

  4. Like a dictionary?  All the kanji/kana are in .gif images. You click the word to see the kana

    Good luck to her.
