Where to find a differential gear for small axle???

Question

for a pedal-power trike:

I've found only one suppler who imports from Taiwan, but the axle is too short.

Does anyone know where to buy a differential for a 3/4" to 1" axle?

How wide does it have to be? Maybe you can use something off of a lawn tractor. You can always extend the axles by sleeving them as well. Most trikes just use a direct chain drive to a solid axle, do you really need a diff for this? Golf carts are another option.

Broaden your search to include lawn mowers/riding mowers. they use a small diff.
