Heartlands...I suggest you go Bedok area. There are plenty around so you will get a good deal. Try to avoid Little India area, the gold is of lower grade/carat.

If you are talking about just gold jewellries, the prices goes buy weight and every shop should have a signboard showing what is the gold price is based on for those on display (they have 18K, 24K, 916 and pure).

The variance is the workmanship. Some charge higher some lower. Ask if the price includes workmanship. Overall, you can still negotiate the price and they can usually go a little lower.
