Where to find help with bills and stuff when job closes and trying to find a new job?

I had just lost my job because it closed up shop(no warning)! I am trying to find a new job, but it taking longer than expected. Now my bills are adding up and was wanting to know if there was any kind of help or aid of any kind until i did get a new job. I live in Ohio.

  2. 1.  You are eligible for Unemployment.  Contact your local Job Service.

    2.  Part of that can include Food Stamps and other items if you have a family.

    3.  Some States and/or Companies offer "retraining" programs if the Company was a major employer in your area and if there are not as many jobs in that field now that the company is gone.

    4.  Check with the Housing Department in your area for Help with Rent if you live in an apartment (I'm not sure if there is help if you own your house, ie. help on your mortgage).

    5.  Good luck.  I have been where you are, but trust me it does get better.
