Check the Internet such as Expedia. I've found good quotes

from Expedia compared to the other airline discounters.

Also checkout fares about 15-21 days before your intended

departure date, because it is within this period that

airlines discount fares on those seats that they are unable to fill. If you live in or near a big city, your major

city newspapers may have a travel section especially on weekend editions, where bucket shops or airline discounters

advertise their lowest fares.

Use sidestep.com.  It compares the fares on Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, etc.  It does not include hotwire, so check that out separately. Have fun!

Expedia.co.uk is definitely at the top, coupled with offers from Austrian.com and British Airways. If looking for something even cheaper (but inconvenient to get to and from), EasyJet & Buzz airlines

Compare prices on hotwire, travelocity and orbitz. I like hotwire best, but you can find some good deals on the other two also.

Once in Europe, if you feel like traveling further, depending on where you go, you'll get the cheapest prices on 2 airlines:

www.easyjet.com

PLAN AHEAD!! They travel almost anywhere, also, go to the airport's website, Europe has a very good low cost airline economy, similar to a Southwest.  Figure out which ones they are via which airports you're going to & you'll save much more than using major airlines.
