I know HD DVD is dead, but i want to buy the xbox 360 hd dvd player brand new, where can i find it?

there's no reason for it... with no movies coming out on it, why would you want it?

good luck. i would hold out for a bit. sony and microsoft are working on a deal to  get a bluray player as a add on

If I could only find the link for you, I think the site where I bought my Betamax player had a few HD DVD players left over still.
