  1. Try the flea market or garage sales... you can find them on e-bay as well.

  2. Are you looking for operational cameras that you can actually use? Or antiques for collections and display? For usable older cameras, you can go to a bookstore, and get pretty much any camera magazine, and find the ads in the back. there's usually several listings for used equipment. The big NY stores like B&H have used equipment sections. Most of the bigger stores have them.

If you're looking for colectible antiques, Flea markets, swap meets, EBay, Antique stores, all have some. Sometimes you can find on line collectors too.

  3. Have you tried going to thrift stores? I've had remarkable luck when it comes to going to thrift stores and flea markets. I've found a Pentax K1000, a Canon AE1, a Canon Canonet GIII QL17, an Ansco Anscoset, and many Polaroid LandCameras. The K1000 cost me around $10 with a 35-70mm lens, the AE1 was $30 with a 50mm prime lens and a 35-70mm lens, the Canonet was around $25, the Anscoset was $20.

Here's a link to the a little blog I do where I show all of the cameras I've found so far, and you can see the good shape they are in. While thrift stores sometimes have cameras that are manhandled, I've had really good luck so far.
